Pronunciation is such an important part of communication as a whole. If you don't anunciate your words, the people you are communicating with won't understand you. This applies to metal vocals but with the extreme levels of distortion, sometimes it's overlooked or falls through the cracks. In this and the subsequent lessons, David will teach you how to build the foundation of good pronunciation so that when you head off to create your own music, your listeners can understand what you're trying to say.
If you've gotten your vowel sounds down, it's time to mix it up a little bit. In this lesson, David starts to incorporate movement to your vocals. Adding bits of movement from the beginning helps to build stamina and helps you learn to balance your way into your vocals so that when it comes time to hit the stage, you're not finding yourself out of breath.
Now that you've built a good foundation for yourself with your pronunciation of vowels, single syllable words and multi-syllable words, it's time to put these skills to the test in context. In this lesson, David walks you through how to go about picking the songs you start practicing.
