David Benites Vocal One Take of latest Renesans single 'Split Brow' is live

Vocal coaching is only one side of David Benites' professional endeavors, he is also a full time recording and performing artist with his band Renesans. Renesans recently released a new single "Split Brow" and on Friday Benites dropped the accompanying live vocal one-take playthrough of the track.

It's bias for us to say but David's playthrough is a masterclass in extreme vocal delivery as he seamlessly switches between techniques and styles throughout the track. This is the only Renesans song released thus far that doesn't feature any clean vocals (not including the secret track from their debut EP Born From The End, "Severed Gullet" a wholesome grind track). It was also the first track released by the band that was mixed and mastered by Benites.


"This was the easiest one-take I've done so far," commented Benites. "It was the first song that Renesans has played live before releasing it so by the time I went to do the playthrough I already knew how to navigate through the song, where I was going to place inflections and how to perform it. I had a year of figuring it out in a live setting which is so different from tackling a song that you JUST tracked in the studio."


The four-piece metalcore outfit from Boston, MA has ushered in a new era with the release of "Split Brow" and Benites has teased that fans can expect more new music from the band within the year.
