Renesans release 'Split Brow' a ferocious new single

Extreme Vocal Institute vocal coach David Benites' band Renesans has released a brand new track "Split Brow" on April 8, 2026. If you've seen them live recently, you may be familiar with it as they have been road testing it with audiences across the country and the results were clear–it HITS. This track will have you ready to open up the pit wherever you are.

"Split Brow" was co-produced by Benites and Renesans guitarist Dave Dunsire, mixed and mastered by Benites. This is the first time Renesans has released music entirely produced within the band. Benites says the choice had to do with keeping the official track as true to the live experience as possible and due to the personal nature of the lyrical content.

I threw relatability out the window and wrote 'Split Brow' about one of the hardest times in my life I had to fight my way out of. We wrote the music in an unorthodox way to show the power Renesans has live, and we road tested it on tour last year unreleased. Every night it was the highlight of the show for our fans old and new.
This one is so personal I knew exactly what the song needed to sound like, so after a long time coming I stepped up to the plate to mix and master. I want to combine the raw, unfiltered soul of the music I was raised on in the 2000’s with the excitement and punch of today, and 'Split Brow' was the perfect song for me to take this first step into production for myself and any band that comes my way.

You can stream "Split Brow" now and check out Renesans' live studio performance from the Telefunken Elektroakustik headquarters in Connecticut.
