The Road to 300,000 YouTube Subscribers

Extreme Vocal Institute's YouTube channel is rapidly approaching 300,000 subscribers. This is a wild milestone that we are excited to be chasing down.

We really started putting effort into the channel during the COVID lockdown in 2020. David had been teaching vocals for several years at that point and we had been using the channel for a few interviews but really started building out the channel in 2020. The response was immediately insane and we have reached incredible milestones much faster than we could have expected.

Our mission since day one has been to make extreme vocals as accessible to people as possible and deliver information in as many different formats as possible. From the earliest tutorials to covers, live one-take playthroughs, and technique breakdowns, this channel has always been about education through authenticity. Every scream taught comes from real experience on stage and in the studio.

Looking back at our early content is hilarious. We have come so far in both audio and visual quality. We have learned a lot and have taken feedback from our ever-growing community to try to make this channel as helpful as possible.

One of our most popular series is our 30 Second Voice Lesson series which immediately resonated with people - on YouTube and other platforms like TikTok and Instagram—and has inspired and been imitated by many creators since. David has since adapted the series and has shortened lessons to even just 15 seconds!

In all honestly, what really makes Extreme Vocal Institute special is you; our community. Your comments and questions help to shape what we do, the content we create for the channel and beyond that, the courses we create for our EVI Now program. Whether you're just learning how to scream or you've been an active vocalist and member of the heavy music community for years, you're the reason we've been able to grow and keep pushing forward.

We have watched so many of you discover your voice and get your first scream out, build your confidence and start to share music with the world. Every time someone leaves a comment to say "I finally got it!" it reminds us why this channel is important and why we started doing this in the first place.

We are so proud of how this community has grown, not just in size but in support, creativity and collaboration. You've helped us to show that extreme vocals aren't just a niche but a real artform with endless potential.
