The studio can be a daunting place for vocalists. There can be a lot of pressure to get that "perfect" take on top of deadlines and a (sometimes) sterile environment in comparison to a live setting. Everyone's routine in the studio is different, but in this two-part series, David is going to give you the tools that he uses to get the most out of his vocals when it comes time to record.

Part of the job as a vocal coach is helping people realize and accomplish their version of success by constructing attainable goals. We're not looking at the question "what is success?" but the question of "what does success mean to YOU?"


The goals you set for yourself should be both in relation to what you want to be capable of with your voice and additionally what you then want to go out into the world and do with it.
