Behind The Screams: New Episode Featuring Matt McGachy of Cryptopsy

Extreme Vocal Institute is excited to share the latest episode of Behind The Screams, featuring special guest Matt McGachy, vocalist of legendary Canadian death metal band Cryptopsy hosted by our own David Benites.

David and Matt dive into the process of creating their newest record An Insatiable Violence — now available via Season of Mist. Turns out they tracked the vocals in just FOUR DAYS. Matt discusses the themes in the record and his personal experiences that enhanced the lyrics as well as some hilarious merch ideas that he's had along the way.

Matt is also known for his incredibly popular podcast, Vox & Hops — currently on hiatus after reaching 500 episodes (we have a long way to go). He discusses making the tough choice to put it away for now and the importance of giving your all to your craft.
