Photo Gallery: Renesans brings Brutal Metalcore to the Midwest

This past weekend was a huge one for us at Extreme Vocal Institute. Our own David Benites, founder and frontman of Renesans, took the stage in Madison, WI and Chicago, IL for two shows as direct support to the classic metalcore/hard rock outfit Escape The Fate.

The energy in the room each night was massive, but what stood out even more were the conversations after the set. We met so many people who shared how they first got into screaming; some through lessons here at Extreme Vocal Institute, others because they discovered Renesans and felt inspired to learn after hearing the songs, perhaps most notably "Labor of Hate".

For David, it’s always a full-circle moment: teaching extreme vocals, then stepping on stage to practice what he preaches and getting to talk to people and see firsthand how those lessons and performances are sparking others to find their own voice.

What’s Next for Renesans & EVI

Renesans is currently in the studio working on new music, and David is excited to share what’s coming next. At the same time, David is opening up his schedule for private coaching sessions this fall (2025). It’s the perfect chance to work one-on-one, whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your scream and take your voice to the next level.
